The fine print,
in plain English.
This Policy explains what data VideoCue ("we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using VideoCue you consent to the practices described here.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, password hash (or Google OAuth identifier), avatar.
- Billing data: Stripe customer ID, subscription status, plan tier. Card details are stored by Stripe, not us.
- Channel and video data: scripts, prompts, generated audio/images/videos, render logs.
- Usage data: page views, feature usage, error reports, IP address, user-agent.
2. How we use it
- Run the Service (generate videos, deliver outputs, store channels and videos).
- Bill and manage your subscription.
- Detect abuse and enforce our Terms.
- Improve product quality (aggregated and anonymized metrics only).
- Send transactional emails (verification, receipts, security notices). Marketing email is opt-in.
3. AI-generated content disclosure
Generated outputs (script, voice, images, video) are produced by third-party AI models on our behalf. We do not use your prompts or scripts to train AI models. Provider-side data handling is governed by:
When you publish via our YouTube integration, we set the platform's AI-disclosure flag where required.
4. Sharing
We share data only with:
- Subprocessors (Stripe, Google, ElevenLabs, AWS/Cloudflare R2) to run the Service.
- Law enforcement when required by valid legal process.
We never sell personal data.
5. YouTube API Services
VideoCue uses YouTube API Services to publish your videos to your YouTube channel and to show you your own channel performance. By connecting a Google account, you also acknowledge the Google Privacy Policy.
What YouTube data we access, collect, and store:
- OAuth tokens (encrypted at rest) that authorize VideoCue to act on your behalf.
- Channel info: title, handle, thumbnail, and subscriber/video/view counts.
- Playlist info and video publish records.
- Daily per-video analytics via the YouTube Analytics API: views, watch time, likes, comments, impressions, click-through rate, and estimated revenue.
This data is used solely to publish your videos and to show you your own performance dashboards. It is never shared with third parties or sold.
Retention: stored YouTube data other than analytics and statistics is refreshed or deleted at least every 30 days. Analytics data is retained while your account connection remains authorized, and we re-verify that authorization every 30 days. When you disconnect a Google account in VideoCue or revoke VideoCue's access, all YouTube data for that connection is deleted, within 7 days for an in-app disconnect, and within 30 days if you revoke via Google.
Revoking access: you can revoke VideoCue's access to your YouTube data at any time from the VideoCue integrations page, or via the Google security settings page.
6. Retention
Account and content data persist until you delete your account. Render logs are kept for 90 days. Deleted channels and videos are purged from storage within 30 days. YouTube data retention is described in Section 5.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA, UK GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data. Email privacy@videocue.io to exercise them.
8. Cookies
We use first-party session cookies for authentication and a minimal set of analytics cookies. No third-party advertising trackers.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it.
10. International transfers
Data may be processed in the US and EU. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers where required.
11. Changes
Material changes to this Policy will be announced in-product 14 days before they take effect.
